Week Ahead: School Budget Vote

A look at upcoming events and activities in Commack.

Commack School Budget Vote & BOE Election
Residents will vote on the 2013-14 school budget and elect two trustees to the Board of Education Tuesday. Voting will take place at Commack Middle School and Commack High School from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. In addition to the budget, residents will also vote on whether or not to increase the number of school board trustees from five to seven. Click here for details on the school budget and click here to learn the BOE candidates' positions on the hot topics in Commack.

Huntington YMCA Carnival
Enjoy rides, games, entertainment and food at the Huntington YMCA Carnival, starting Thursday at 6 p.m. New this year, will be a BMX Bike Stunt Show, taking play May 25 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Pay one Price Bracelet $25 for unlimited rides
Pay as you go ride tickets available, as well.

Women In Long Island’s Past
