The first day of fall is on Sunday, but it's not time to get in your Snuggie and curl up on the couch just yet. There's plenty going on around town this weekend. Here's our picks:
SMITHTOWN
Smithtown United Methodist Country Fair
It’s fall. Celebrate the season with local artisans at the Smithtown United Methodist Church’s 23rd annual Country Fair on Saturday, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., with live entertainment, games, carnival food and a classic car show. Performances will include SUMC Praise Band, "Illumination"; SUMC Youth Musical Ensemble and Opera et Al’s “September Serenade.” Free admission, held rain or shine.
Grand Opening of Uniquely Natalie
Celebrate the grand opening of Uniquely Natalie, a new furniture and accessories boutique on Lake Avenue in St. James. The weekend’s events will include an official ribbon cutting, High Tea, gift drawings and more on Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Hear some of Long Island’s talented singers perform a “September Serenade” of beautiful Opera Arias, Neapolitan favorites, Broadway showtunes, Arietti, and American Standards at the Smithtown Methodist Church Fair on Saturday at 2 p.m. Free admission.

W.S. Commerdinger Jr. County Park will host its 6th annual Ice Cream Social & Chinese Auction at the Cleary School for the Deaf in Nesconset on Saturday at 6 p.m. Eat all the ice cream you can while enjoying live entertainment and basket raffles.

The Commack Cougarettes will host a 60-family garage sale Saturday at Commack High School from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Flapjack Fundraiser
A Flapjack Fundraiser to support the Commack High School Stix Club will take place Sunday from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Applebee's, 105 Vets Hwy., Commack.HAUPPAUGE
Erik’s Reptile ‘Ed’ Ventures
Erik's Reptile will be at the Hauppauge Public Library on Sunday at 3 p.m. for an afternoon of kid-friendly fun (free).
