Show biz career in NYC vs. teaching and directing on LI. Who would have thought?
When I left Long Island 22 years ago I swore I would never move back. Not that I didn't have a happy childhood, I just felt I never fit in. After years of living my dream life in NYC as an actress, talent agent and casting director I got married, pregnant and suddenly felt a deep need to be near my family. So, with trepidations, I started the slow transition of reintroducing myself to my old friend, LONG ISLAND. Little did I know, It would begin a journey of self discovery that I never though could bring me more happiness than my life as a glamorous city girl. And I found what I believe to be my true purpose. To empower kids who want to perform, to help every young person feel valued on the stage no matter what their skill level and to teach parents how to not get scammed and safely navigate through the performance world, professional or otherwise. Kinda hokey, I know, but true.
