@CCC: Everybody complains or comments that Commack has no "downtown". I think thisRead More (Commack Motor Inn) could be a start. At least most Long Islanders know where it is.

It looks like the Patch has hit rockbottom. What is next: A review of strip clubs? TheRead More entrepreneurism of drug dealers? The new, healthy menu at the White Castle next door to the CMI? And, by the way, those lights have been there for months

The palm trees are nice, in fact at Christmas, they could have a lighted Santa and reindeer sledRead More flying above them. That would be classy.

Boycotting all Simon Malls until they go humane. Allowing puppy mill puppies to be sold to unknowingRead More consumers is wrong and they know it. USDA-licensed breeders ARE puppy mills. Please do a quick Google search and tell Simon why you won't shop there.

Lisa, I agree completely. This school district should GIVE the Carll farm to the town for free soRead More that the town can open it to the community for the same purpose as the Carpenter farm.
Lisa Levine May 20, 2013 at 11:25 am
So why can't the CUFSD do the same and figure out a way to have them take the Marion Carll Farm?Read More This Board has made little to no effort to deal with the farm..it has just let it rot. I guarantee that right now they probably are plotting some settlement with the Carll Heirs to give them the farm back either for free or for some nominal amount of money that will short change the tax payers - after they spent millions on the farm over the past 40 years.. It's a friggin shame what the board has done and is doing. They will probably try and settle either before any new trustees get elected or wait and see who wins and/or see if Prop 2 passes. They know Mr. T will skew them for any such deal if he elected in and Mr. H will also not like any sweetheart settlement that shortchanges the community.

I recall, in the early 1960's when the dug up the area for a Modell's department store, the diggingRead More and building was halted for about a year, while they decided what to do about the cemetery.

Hey Suffolk, thanks for the warning about the seat belts. Any additional income in these fiscalRead More trying times is a good thing for the county. So what if a couple thousand a--holes have to be pulled over and harrassed, the additional funds are well worth the hassel. Besides, this gets the cops out of the donut shops and back on the roads where they can earn at least some of their bloated salary.
