Miller's Ale House Gets Town's Approval to Build

Former Grill 454 to be demolished to make way for new restaurant.

Miller's Ale House can now officially start construction of it's new Commack restaurant.

Smithtown Town Board approved plans for Miller's Ale House to take over the former Grill 454 location off Veterans Highway and Sunken Meadow Parkway at its May 23 meeting. The first step of construction will be demolishing the former Grill 454 building.

The new Miller's Ale House will be 9,589 square feet and sit up to 328 diners, slightly smaller than Grill 454, which had 344 seats. The new restaurant's layout will include 850 feet of outdoor dining.

Signs posted on the property announce the franchise's intentions to open the Commack restaurant by Fall 2013.

It will be one of two new Miller's Ale House restaurants opening in the area. A Lake Grove location near Smith Haven Mall is scheduled to open on Sunday, June 2.

Miller's Ale House currently has locations open in Deer Park and Levittown.
