Weekend Planner: Autism Fundraiser; Book Sales

Autism Fundraiser at Commack Vet Lanes
A fundraiser will take place May 3 at Commack Vet Lanes to raise money for Hills vs. Autism, a lacrosse program for children with special needs. The Bowling Fundraiser will take place from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. To participate, visit HillsvsAutism.org.

Restaurant Week
Three Commack eateries are participating in Long Island Restaurant Week, which runs now through May 5. Diners can enjoy a three-course prix fixe dinner for $27.95, except for Saturday, when it may only be offered until 7 p.m. Participating Commack restaurants include Ciao Baby, Perfecto Mundo and Andrea's 25.

Commack Methodist Book Sale
Buy one book, get one free at Commack Methodist Church (486 Townline Rd, Commack) Thrift Shop Book Sale on Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Commack Public Library Annual Yard/Book Sale and Bike Consignment
The Commack Public Library will hold its annual yard/book sale and bike consignment May 4 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Participate by donating items the day of the sale from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. or by coming down and purchasing items. All monies raised will be used to benefit the Library. For questions, call Liz at the Commack Public Library at (631) 499-0888. 

The Children's Center at UCP Annual Craft/Gift boutique
Shop at more than 25 vendors that include crafts, handmade jewelry, The Pampered Chef, Avon, MaryKay, Lia Sofia, Origami Owl, accessories and more on May 4 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m at the The Children's Center at UCP (Smiths Lane School) in Commack. Free admission. Call 543-2338 for directions.
